Inter-Generational Communication
For the first time in American history there are four very different generations in the workforce. Roles have been changing over time. It use to be the norm that the older workers were the bosses.......now a 25-year-old could be reporting to a 50-year-old....or it could be the other way around!
At work, these generational differences can affect everything from recruiting, teamwork, change-management, motivation and productivity. Without a framework for understanding each other and working together effectively, these differences can lead to misunderstandings, turnover and decreased levels of engagement, commitment and productivity.
